Description
Aurora is a young, proven alpaca with lots going for her. She breeds easily, has trouble-free births, is a good mother who nourishes her crias so they grow rapidly, and is a quiet, easy-going member of the herd. Her fiber is average in density and crimp.
When Aurora is bred to a good quality male, the resulting crias are always better than she is. She has blessed us with two female crias in a row and they are very nice. One is chocolate brown and the other is a medium fawn, so we know she throws color darker than the herdsire she's bred to.
We are planning to breed Aurora to our newest herdsire, Legacys Peruvian Zayle for a spring 2012 cria. Zayle, a Legacy son, has excellent fiber---very dense and crimpy. He won a very competitive class at the MOPACA show in Kansas City in March. Since Legacy is now deceased, Zayle's crias will be really special. The breeding alone makes Aurora a true bargain!
